Description Here's a whaley great way to spend your work day: whale research! Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary was designated to protect humpback whales and their habitat in Hawai‘i. A key part of that is science: research and long-term monitoring help scientists understand whales' habitat requirements, population size, threats, and other important topics.
