Sarcasm fully implied. Look, with EHR (electronic health records) we can now directly see which physicians are using their toolbox correctly. By toolbox, I mean medications. What we are seeing is an influx of patients coming into the hospital because of drug to disease interactions (not so much drug to drug). Our hospital clinical pharmacist document on the average of 3 ADE ( adverse drug events ) per patient which are being admitted from private physicians. EHR is an amazing tool that is elucidating what we pharmacists have suspected all along; physicians, at times, are creating more harm because of lack of pharmacological education.
