Thanks for deleting Userːbirkho, but I had expected that the Talk page also would be deleted. You deleted File:Logo SMA Negeri 2 Kediri.png and File:Logo Smada Kediri.png as copyvios, however they have now been reuploaded, the former under the same name and the latter as File:MTsN 2 Kediri.jpg. Hi Yann. Can you take a look at File:Screenshot from 2024-08-05 20-48-45.png, File:Angel Glady.jpg and File:Angel Glady.png? I thought that writing a "speedy deletion" (for example: {{Speedy deletion|[[Commons:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion|G10. Files and pages created as advertisements]]}}; now for a new file to delete (File:Image of her machine Pakistan our.jpg)), it was enough, and a message was sent to the uploader, automatically. Is there a standard type of message to send to uploader?.

Hi Yann. You deleted File:2027 WC Fanmade Logo.png as a copyvio, but it seems (at least according to this discussion on English Wikipedia) to have been reuploaded and cropped as File:2027 CWC Fanmade Logo.png. Whether the reuploaded and cropped version is OK for Commons (maybe the text-only revision is), I'll leave up to your discretion; however, even the text-only version might be considered a problem per c:COM:EDUSE since it appears to come from fanart that has pretty much no encyclopedic value. It would be hard to justify the use of any fanart logo (even a Pd-logo one) in any language Wikipedia article about any major international sporting event in lieu of the main official logo of such an event, even if that main official logo has yet to have been released. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:35, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I can assure you that these are my own work, or, that I have the permission of owners on everything I've upload, a I mainly work in the rugby and tennis world. @Yann Thanks. Since I was not the original uploader, I can't access the deleted image to contact the school to ask who the image creator was to request their permission. It is likely the creator is now at least 140 years old, since the school is 120 years old, so he/she may be difficult to contact. Is there some way to make this image visible so I can see what I am requesting permission for? What should we do if the creator cannot be contacted, such as if they are deceased, as seems likely? Regarding "Category:Maurice Dulac"

Hello. May I ask you for advice or help.

There is the category "Category:Maurice Dulac", which is but for a French illustrator. There is another Maurice Dulac who is a French musician. Musician Maurice Dulac has the fr-wikipedia article page. (fr:Maurice Dulac). I think creating the new category "Maurice Dulac (musician)" since in the present category of Maurice Dulac, there are over 200 files, so if creating category "Maurice Dulac (illustrator)", we shall change category for these 200 files. Therefore, imo, creating category "Maurice Dulac (musician)" seems to be better. I'm not familiar with this kind of procedure here. Is agreement forming process required in this case, or I may create the above-said category without agreement process. Deleted RIAN files

After Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Photos by Mark Markov-Grinberg I'm interested in knowing if there were any more RIAN files deleted for invalid reasons. Is there a list available of all RIAN photos initially uploaded under their agreement, or a way to see why other RIAN files were deleted? Protection request for File:Brown rat distribution.png

Hello, Yann.

Can you temporarily protect File:Brown rat distribution.png (which you did back in January, for a duration of two months)? I reverted the map (which is used by numerous articles across Wikipedia) to its original upload version. Other users put the man-made boundaries of Alberta to the map, depicting the whole province as devoid of the species brown rat (rattus norvegicus), which is false and baseless. This large province has a population of brown rats, and they do not stop at its invisible border. Brown rats are detected in the province and are often reported in the news.

The unused SVG version shows the unfounded claim of Alberta being "rat free".

The PNG map (which numerous Wikipedia articles already use) should remain the original way it was uploaded, without the man-made borders of Alberta. The later dubious addition of Alberta in the map, was the reason why the PNG map was removed in the English Wikipedia article en:brown rat, years ago.

Hello!

I will address each of the alleged violations individually as indicated, but I have to address that the single request from any editor about anything that I posted was a recent commentary about a main menu picture of the Disco Elysium game. I did not upload copyrighted media out of spite or ill intentions, but mostly because I was not aware of its regulation on Wikimedia/Wikipedia. The violations from 9 months ago happened in the course of a few days (so I was not advised on the spot that I shouldn't post them because they break copyright rules) and, back then, I thought that it was a zealous error from a bot. I kindly request that the warning on my talk page be revised to match the reality.

About the deletion of File:The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten logo.svg and others

Hi,

The following files were deleted because I tagged them with SD (G7):

  1. File:Strike Witches logo.svg
  2. File:Brave Witches logo.svg
  3. File:A Place Further than the Universe logo.svg
  4. File:The Elusive Samurai logo.svg
  5. File:The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten logo.svg

But I think the deletion request would have been better for these. So can you please restore these files?
